Pix Place is an online service that is included with each activation of Picture/Video Messaging. At the Pix Place web site you can:

If you have Netscape 7.2 and AppleŽ QuickTimeŽ player less than version 6.5.2 and go to the PIX Place web site, you will be provided with the PIX Place message "If you are using Apple QuickTime 6.5.1 you must upgrade your QuickTime version to utilize the PIX Place Multi-media Message Composer. It is further suggested that you refer to the PIX Place FAQs for the latest suggested Browser and Apple QuickTime combinations." At this point you will need to go to the Apple web site www.apple.com; and upgrade the version of QuickTime before PIX Place can utilized.
PIX Place will provide automatic QuickTime upgrade messages for all other browser/ QuickTime combinations that do not meet the above minimum standards.You can compose messages using images, audio files, video files, and text.

The following audio type can be used to create a picture message:
A slide can consist of three elements: one picture or video, audio, and text.* If all three elements are contained within a slide, the audio file plays while the picture and text are presented on the screen of the handset. A message composed at PIX Place can contain up to 9 slides.
*In the special case of a video media element, only text can be added to the single slide when composing the message.
Back to topNo, however you can send picture/video messages from your phone to your friend's non-Verizon Wireless phone, as long as your friend uses one of the following carrier's service:
* Note: With regard to video messages, Cingular will only accept video messages with file sizes of 100Kb or less. If this size is exceeded, Cingular will deliver the message, but not the video attachment. Verizon Wireless phones are capable of recording videos of 30 seconds length and 200Kb file size. Before sending your video message to a Cingular friend, make sure to check the size of the video to make sure it is 100Kb or less in size. All video messages sent from Cingular customers to Verizon Wireless customers will be delivered.
All you have to do is send a copy to your online photo album at PIX Place.
You automatically have 75 messages of storage on PIX Place when you register; the usage meter on the site will let you know how much you have used. The message storage limit applies to files "saved" in albums you create and messages uploaded from your handset.
Messages uploaded from your PC, saved in the "Drafts" album or "Sent Items" album are considered temporary and do not apply towards your storage unless the messages are "Saved" or moved to a user created album. These temporary messages can be found in the "My Messages Inbox" under the "Temporary Messages" tab.
If your handset is not picture / video messaging capable, you will receive a text message directing you to view any picture/video messages that are sent to your phone on PIX Place using a PC with Internet access; these picture / video messages are also temporary and do not apply to your album storage.
Note: You can have an unlimited number of temporary messages. All temporary messages will expire 7 days after receipt unless saved.You can now upgrade to unlimited Pix Place storage. Simply log in to Pix Place and select the "Get Unlimited Storage" link below the storage meter or under the "My Profile" tab. The Unlimited Storage feature costs $1.99 monthly and will be billed to your Verizon Wireless account. Note: the Unlimited Storage functionality on Pix Place is intended for personal use and cannot be utilized for commercial use. Please refer to the Pix Place Terms and Conditions for more details.

You can share your PIX Place albums through email share invitations that you create on PIX Place, so people across town, the country, and around the world can access your PIX Place albums. Your email invitation will contain a Go There button. If you decide to un-invite someone, the link that they received will be disabled and they won't be able to view your pictures/videos any longer. Just remember to use care when choosing with whom you share your albums, and always remind your friends never to forward your email invitations to other people without your permission. We recommend mentioning this in all of your invitations. This will help you control who sees your photos/videos.
Note: Albums share links will expire after 30 days.
Back to topYes. If you do not visit your Pix Place account at least once every 180 days, all albums and messages will be deleted. You will receive two Free SMS text warnings on your phone at 150 days and 175 days of inactivity. The messages are as follows:
Pix Place account inactive for 150 days: "FREE VZW Message. 1st Notice: Your Pix Place account has been inactive for 150 days. Log onto www.vzwpix.com within 30 days or your top will be deleted."
Pix Place account inactive for 170 days: "FREE VZW Message. 2nd notice: Your Pix Place account has been inactive for 170 days. Log onto www.vzwpix.com within 10 days or your top will be deleted."
If you do not visit Pix Place within the 180 limit, you will receive the Free SMS text message when your account and messages are deleted. The message is as follows:
Pix Place account inactive for 180 days: "FREE VZW Message. Last notice: Your Pix Place account was inactive for 180 days so your top was deleted. Log onto www.vzwpix.com to keep using your account."
To prevent your account expiring and all of your albums and messages from being deleted from Pix Place, just login to Pix Place at www.vzwpix.com at least once every 180 days.
